Story
Hi guys
I’m raising funds by completing a 6 day trek through Kakadu National Park to support the Arts Law Centre and its signature project, 'Artists in the Black'. Artists in the Black delivers targeted services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists nationally.
Artists in the Black works with Aboriginal women and their children to provide access to legal advice, information and education about their rights so that they may gain financially from their artworks.
Artists in the Black stands up for appropriate recognition, protection and respect for Indigenous cultural and intellectual property, and helps Indigenous artists and creative organisations develop sustainable arts and cultural practices.
Underpinning this initiative is a focus on economic empowerment. Recently, Artists in the Black suffered a major Federal funding cut and its future is now threatened. Please support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Cheers
Dan
